Since 1994, Swing Shift has been rocking the Washington DC metro area and beyond.  Swing Shift has appeared at the Corcoran Art Gallery, the Kennedy Center, and the Washington Hilton, and has a regular gig at Blues Alley, Washington D.C.'s premiere jazz club. Swing Shift has also appeared at a wide variety of private events, including at The Loudoun Golf and Country Club, the Fairfax Elks Lodge, the Sterling Golf and Swim Club, and numerous weddings, corporate events, and other private gatherings. Swing Shift originally formed as an amalgamation of refugees from several area bands, including the Bob Louis Big Band, the Kingsmen, Bifocals, Central Heat, the Redskins Band, and the Post-Nuclear Jazz Society.  All of the musicians of Swing Shift, original members and newer arrivals alike, are passionate about making top notch music in the large group format.  In 2007, the band conscripted veteran guitarist Matt Trimboli to lead Swing Shift as its musical director.  The band continues to explore new musical terrain while maintaining its traditional big band roots.
